Inksgiving!

Come one, come all!

This November is a SPECIAL EVENT!

Only available on tapas.io is an event known as...

INKSGIVING: Starts November 22nd, Ends November 24th.

Inksgiving is an event where users of the Tapas(tic) website celebrate and give back to the creators they enjoy. From casual readers to longtime fans, Inksgiving allows everyone to truly feel like they're a part of a community while funding future works and the site's performance overall. I have a few personal gripes with the website's integrity and desire, but it's a place that hosts both styles of my work (whether comic or novel), so I do appreciate it for that. Plus, I met some nice users there, too—some of which I like to communicate with outside of Tapas.

How it works is that users give ink to other users. The website is themed around ink (for some reason), so ink droplets are a form of currency. Twenty-five drops of ink are the equivalent of giving someone a quarter. It may not be much, but it does buy jawbreakers at the candy store. Don't worry. It's less confusing when you actually donate the ink. This isn't something stupid like Microsoft Points.

In order to participate in Inksgiving, you have to perform the following steps:

  1. You must be a member of the website. You don't need to publish anything there. Just open an account and you're eligible to participate.

  2. Buy some ink. You can do so by clicking on your profile icon, then heading to the "ink shop" tab. There, you'll see a screen that will show you how much ink you can buy, as well as options to receive some for free via surveys or watching short promos.

First, click the "Ink Shop" tab.
Then, select the amount of ink you would like to Buy or Earn

3. Most users who publish works on the site will have a button titled Support on their profile or series. Click it, and you'll be given the option to donate as much ink as you please.

NOTE: Donating will not work if you enter a number under 25.

  1. If you want to support ME with ink, just use this link: https://tapas.io/mrtoontastic/support

4. If you wish, you can also send a message, a thank you, or any other form of support. Or say something stupid. I could use a good laugh. You must type your message before hitting send, or else it won't go through. Think of it like SUPER CHATS in a YouTube Livestream. They work the same way.

  • REPEAT Steps 3 & 4 if you wish to support creators other than me.

Once you've completed all those tasks, you've successfully participated in Inksgiving. In fact, some creators might include little incentives for those who donate ink. I would have some if I really knew WHAT a good incentive is. I dunno, what would you guys like? A signed poster? A high-five? A discounted/free commission? If you got ideas, tell me some.

As for Inksgiving, not only did you support your favorite creator(s), you also helped to fund the website so that it can flourish with new features. And trust me, the novel editor on Tapas really needs all the updates it can get.

Inksgiving is an annual tradition, so if you miss it this year, don't worry. It'll be here next year. Heck, if you just have a lot of ink leftover, it stays in your account until you give it away. Someone's always willing to take it off your hands.

REMEMBER!

INKSGIVING Starts November 22nd, Ends November 24th.

Alright, everyone. That's all I for now. Don't forget to check out the event and celebrate! There's a lot of neat creators on the site, and I'd hate to see them be left out of the fun. I'll see you there, maybe with a new story or comic during the event too! Stay TOONed!
