Patty
I Love Patty.
And I'm not talking your ordinary chicken patty. I'm talking THESE Patties.
Something about that golden yellow crust... the succulent, fried beef roasting inside. Combine them together into one with some nice dipping sauce on the side, and MMM~! This food is a great time!
I love patty. Next to Jamaican dumplings, I could eat a truckload of these in a single dinner session.
Now, you could go to your local Jamaican restaurant to pick up a bag or two of patty on the go, but what if you wanna get an entire box's worth? You got three great options.
GOLDEN KRUST
CARIBBEAN ISLAND DELIGHTS
TOWER ISLES
Now, personally, I'm more a fan of Tower Isles because of the way the meat flavoring tastes in every box. Problem is that these days, Tower Isles can only be found in select stores (like ShopRite for me), and the meat has gotten more barren over the years. I feel like I'm eating more of the crust than the meat.
However, Golden Krust and Caribbean Island Delights both give me the perfect balance between meat and crust. The meat tastes wildly different in both brands, but they have that unique flavoring that's just... MM! I love it! Though, I will admit that GOLDEN KRUST does live up to its name, because it sure is flaky. Even before you put it on a plate, you're going to be covered in crumbs and crust flakes. Just make sure you have a big plate once you're done. Unfortunately, its the only one that comes in a small amount (one patty per packaging, or a box of five).
As for Caribbean Island Delights, I have no complaints. It's the cheapest to buy, it comes in huge packs (10 patties per box), and you have... different flavors? Yes! Different flavors!
You got your classic mild beef (Eh...). You got spicy beef (YES!). You got... beefy cheese. (Haha! It's surprisingly good!). Heck, you got JERK CHICKEN (It's also in Golden Krust). Caribbean Island Delights is a great patty that's readily available in EVERY STORE ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH (at least in America).
If you couldn't tell, I love Patty so much.
If you haven't tried it... GO TRY IT! Patty is a food that I'd serve at parties. So... when can I come to your party?
