Back in the day (2014 or earlier), I had a couple logo ideas for what would eventually become the site you see today.
I went through names such as:
Jean-Luc's Cartoon Cavalcade of Comics
Toon Stride
Toon Lagoon-a-roonie!
Jean-Luc's Cartoon Collective
The Toon Zone
Toon-Tropics!
Mr. Toontastic's House of Cartoon
Jean-Luc Cartoons
At least a few of these names I did use in other forms, but there's one that finally came around. That name is the one and only...

Believe it or not, Toon-atopia, much like "Be Toontastic", was the initial moniker I wanted to place all my works under. I labelled it initially as a place where old-school cartoons could thrive and be honored in the same vein as BOOMERANG from Cartoon Network and its original goal until 2015. In fact, I even hosted a little group on deviantART dedicated to that idea called Toon-atopia.
GROUP DESCRIPTION:
Welcome to Toon-atopia, a toon world where toons of all kinds from all parts of the world live together in harmony, macabre, surreal, and abstract ways. A place where artists can show off their abstract side, and a place where adventures with friends can be a grand treat! Bring your friends, bring your family, bring anyone from ALL parts of the world as we celebrate our imaginative side. Don't worry, it won't hurt one bit. Join me, Mr. Toontastic, your show-runner and fantastic creator of this lovable little world, and my friends who happily decided to tag along as we keep this boat sailing. Get to know each other, you fabulous toons, for you all have a lot of adventures to have.
I wanted the group to be similar to a TV Station complete with different folders for different kinds of art genres. I even had a couple friends of mine host their own folders based on what they liked. Right at the top was me, "The Jean-Luc & Friends Show," where nearly any-and-all artwork based on my characters were home to (and to evolve my old Flipnote Hatena presence). Comics, artwork, funny jokes, stories, you named it. If it was in the channel, it certainly was mine. The site is still up today, though my activity has certainly not been as prevalent as it used to be. I got so invested in my projects that I somewhat left the group on autopilot. I keep it up because much like my activity on the main site, deviantART, it's where you'll find most of my work, if not all of them.
Over time, I started to branch out feeling the need to expand my brand and create a bigger presence of myself online. That's when I looked back at the old Toon-atopia name and started to realize that it's... not that catching in a broad sense. I still love the name and plan to use it again, but when I see people spell and pronounce it, it's kinda... a little silly.
In fact, when I first thought about changing the name and scribbled a pending name, its almost like a little voice in my head was screaming:

Safe to say, I left it alone for a while.... until 2021 when the idea kicked around again and I discovered Wix. Then after a few kisses and hugs, some schmaltzing with the tools, I finally kicked around and found myself with the name I now know as...

Looking back, I appreciate how long its been. It's a funny thing about looking at your older works. The memories and journey always seems to come full circle. Who knows, maybe Goon Toon will follow up with the Studios end of the name expand it to stuff like:
Goon Toon Comics
Goon Toon Animation
Goon Toon Movies
Goon Toon Novels
Goon Toon Commodities
I'll work on it, but boy! I have some ideas!
That's all for now! Catch you in the next one!
