A Little Progress Update

Hey-Hey Toon-a-thons! I just wanted to update you guys on what's been happening, and progress so far. So far, this summer's been quite a quiet though eventful one. Off the bat though, university life stinks (and it NEVER ENDS...!!). Not what I expected/hoped for, and definitely not what I felt would happen in terms of progression both for what I have to do and for what I want. Other than that, there's been a few good highlights:
1.) I had recently been a part of Stay@Home Comic-Con, and sent in my first ever portfolio. The results were (again) not what I hoped for (mostly expected), but in terms of what is missing, it was actually some good advice. It feels like I have everything else complete except the main pieces I would actually need.
2.) I've been doing a whole host of abstract artwork and expressionistic pieces. While they don't garner an audience like my usual cartoon works, they were a nice change of pace. I like doing them in between works, or simply sliding them in as cool backgrounds in some of my later pieces (as seen a few times before). Hopefully, I'll find a place for these alongside my prominent work. If not, then they'll be nice to hang around the house.
3.) Way back in... early 2019 and pre-quarantine 2020, I actually began a special project with two friends of mine. We're not saying what it is just yet, but its something I've dreamed of doing since I started publishing my works on the internet. We're still in the writing stages, but aside from a few extra ambitions (and hiccups), we should be right as rain!
4.) I am currently in the thought process/planning stage of having my own little studio. I already have a name, which some of you may have seen once or twice, but I feel its a great name. Now I just need to create a more updated/interesting logo. Then get a patent for it.
5.) The Adventures of Jean-Luc & Joey is finally getting a new story. Some time ago, I promised a new tale featuring the wacky duo back in 2015. But just like Sticktoons' grand story, the progress halted considerably to where the only ongoing series to tide things over was Sonia: Legends of Eternal Darkness (and the Mellisa & Julianna side stories/comic strips). While I enjoy making those stories, I started to miss making more wacky stuff. The story meant to kick things off is still in waiting, but I have a new story in production to hopefully kick things off. Its placement in my proposed RUNWAY ROADTRIP anthology/arc is unknown, but the story I have in mind is an exciting tale of technofunk, cybernetic heaven, and a little bit of clashing ideals. Basically what happens when the Whackos find themselves entangled in a culture they don't belong in. More details will come soon, but I'm very excited for this and hopeful for the future.
6.) Just a few weeks ago, I finally acquired Clip Studio Paint as a drawing software. I'm making tests and I'm completely oblivious to the new features... but with how much PaintToolSai has taught me, the transfer has been somewhat easy. I'm not giving up on Sai though, there's a lot that I LOVE about it, and I wouldn't be here without it.
To all of those who are still here, and those that are just joining, thanks for sticking around! I don't say it often, but your support is always welcome, and that's mainly via Ko-Fi. I'll never demand you to give me money, but I'll always do enough to show off my merit (even I'm slower than other, more cooler artists). Ko-Fi ain't Patreon, but I prefer it more than Patreon. You're supporting some Super Stories and Colorful Cartoons, and to that I say... THANK YOU!
Alright, I think that's everything! Stay safe, wash your hands, and don't do anything I wouldn't do! And don't forget to... BE TOONTASTIC~!
BE TOONTASTIC~!
