October: Fall Vibes and New Conjuring(s)

Hello, hello!

It's a new week and a new month. And to be sure that this month is starting well, I want to wish everyone a happy October. For a lot of you, it's the time for thrills and chills. For the rest of you, it's the genesis of the Fall season. The leaves may not have fallen in my neck of the woods yet, but I know others that already have a lot to rake up. Unfortunately, all I have is just massive amounts of rain.

Other than that, here's a quick update on me and works thus far.

What's new with the 'Toons?

Well, I'm glad you asked! Since I finished "A Woodland's Dystopia" AND "A Woodland's Technophobia," I can now go into other Jean-Luc & Joey stories I've written parallel to this main tale. I got a WESTERN-themed adventure coming up and an UNDERWATER-themed tale for the Whacky Dynamo. Depending on which one I finish first, new stories in Jean-Luc & Joey's Runaway Roadtrip will be coming to TAPAS soon.

In other news, SONIA is in the middle of a rock and a hard place the last time she was left behind. In the next episode of The Ghost Anthology, she's going to be off in a mystical new world. A world between worlds, if you will. Little does she know that a pair of unlikely friends just so happened to be tailgating her.

STICKTOONS have taken over all of September in honor of beginning the 3RD Season of their comic strip mishaps and misadventures. And I say 3rd Season because I wanted to give the strips a Season-based format (just like in Television). Sure, they're gag comics, but I thought, who better to have gags than two stick figures in a comic-based world. Plus, I can make quick jokes that I sometimes struggle sliding into the novels. A new batch of comic strips is in the works for another monthly drop of content, but that doesn't mean they won't appear here and there this month.

I do have a couple of new drawings in the works for my SPEEDPAINT! YouTube series. It's more a matter of finishing them rather than editing. The process is long, but it can be fun. You ever tested yourself drawing and painting a fully digital piece in one sitting? It ain't easy. I wonder how the streamers do it.

And finally, I'm working on a secret project with a couple of friends. We spent a full year planning and drafting this out, and while it's certainly all over the place, I am taking the reigns so it can be completed and ready by the end of the month. If not, then at least it's complete in case we want to do more of these. I can't spoil any details, but I will leave you with this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1L3ua2be_gvQLW6FzvagpL_7_pAE5ocLg/view?usp=sharing

So what about me?

As for me, things are going quite well. I have a couple of new items to play with, like a small canvas. All I need is some paint, and I'll do something traditional for once. I also got my hands on this incredible Bandai Woody figure AND a neat Jar-Jar Binks toy. So now Jar-Jar and Woody can be good friends on my desk.

Woody got a little dizzy from the building process, but he's all good!
Jar-Jar with a Bow Staff is the coolest thing I've ever seen.

In my artistic endeavors, I gave a slight retooling to my Ko-Fi page. Instead of donations, you can give tips. Like before, it all only costs one dollar (USD, CAD, etc.), and it's all tied to Paypal, so a Ko-Fi account/membership is not required. Let me repeat that:

A Ko-Fi Account is NOT required in order to send me a tip, buy a commission, or buy something from my Ko-Fi Shop.

I also have a commissions tab specifically for cheap and easy commissions that you can only get on my KO-FI. If you're not satisfied with the prices on my main website, my Ko-Fi will settle all your frugal needs. Don't worry, I'm in the same boat, haha.

As for my Ko-Fi Shop, alternatively branded as Toon's Backyard Shop, I have some new materials I plan to add. Examples include another sticker pack featuring "Vixen" and possibly some of my other cartoon characters. In addition, the second volume of Poetic Pieces of a Particular Penman is in the works. It's half-done. I need to finish up some other poems before compiling everything into a new e-book.

I do have a PATREON, but it's outdated, and, to be honest, it doesn't feel as easy to use as Ko-Fi. Sure, I'm not creating a fully-fledged super series of YouTube videos or some merch-based endeavor. I create funny books, after all. But I'm more passionate about Ko-Fi than I am with Patreon. But if you want to check it out, feel free.

You can find all my OTHER links in this link-tree (which I'll add to the site at a later date): https://nushara.com/mr-toontastic/links/

Speaking of which, to retain site stability and fix some errors with the mobile version, I will be going through and optimizing the website to make things a little more accessible. There won't be any massive changes, but I will smoothen out a couple of tidbits and rough edges.

That should be everything for now.

I'll keep you updated with new updates on these weird characters and surprise you if I have any new additions to the site or my series. All you need to do is read and enjoy yourself. This is Goon TOON Studios, after all. I'm here to provide the kind of fun you can't get anywhere else. It's the FUN zone, not the SNORE zone!

Tips are well appreciated. Not only do they keep me motivated to work, but I can use them to put more funding into the website and future endeavors that I've always dreamed of doing. But it all won't be possible without you. That's all for now, but don't forget to...

BE TOONTASTIC~!
